The Group brings together those interested in epilepsy issues and provides MPs with information and access to expert opinion.

The AGM of the APPG was held on the 23rd October - please click here to access minutes of the meeting.

The current Officers of the group are:
Chair: Laura Sandys MP (Conservative)
Vice Chairs: Baroness Ford (Labour) / Paul Maynard MP (Conservative) / Lord Walton of Detchant (Cross Bencher)

Secretary: Valerie Vaz MP (Labour)
Treasurer: Teresa Pearce MP (Labour)

Membership is open to all Members of Parliament and to organisations interested and involved in epilepsy care. Members of the APG on Epilepsy come from all the major political parties, working together to promote the interests of people with epilepsy, their families and carers. Members of the public can observe Group meetings by prior arrangement with the Secretariat (see below).

Activities have focused on raising awareness of epilepsy, exploring issues such as access to health service provision, epilepsy awareness in education, employment, and social opportunities.
